Online Singing Classes
আপনি যেখানেই থাকুন, সেখান থেকেই সঙ্গীত শিখুন।
If you live away from Kalyani — elsewhere in West Bengal, in another Indian city, or abroad — lessons are taught by video call. The teaching is the same as in person: warm-ups, sur and taal, and songs built up line by line, with time set aside for your questions.
How an online lesson works
Taught one-to-one
You are heard individually, so exercises and songs follow your own voice rather than a fixed syllabus.
Simple set-up
A phone or laptop, a quiet room and headphones are enough. No software or instrument purchase is required to begin.
Practice between classes
You finish each lesson with a clear task, and you can record yourself to compare week by week.
Bengali songs, wherever you live
Many students abroad want to keep singing in Bengali — to hold on to pronunciation, to learn the songs they grew up hearing, or to sing at family occasions. Lessons can be taught in Bengali, in English, or in both, whichever is easier for the student.
Children aged 5 and above learn online too; parents may prefer to read about singing classes for kids first. If you can travel to Kalyani, offline singing classes in Kalyani are also available.
Before your first online class
- Sit somewhere quiet with the device at face height, so posture and breathing are visible.
- Use headphones — they prevent echo and make the teacher's corrections clear.
- Keep water nearby and avoid singing straight after a heavy meal.
- Have a notebook, or record the lesson on your phone, for the exercises given to you.
